W-3440 variety (Whitman code), also traditionally known as a Miller 33.7-r.2 1787 DBL Connecticut Colonial Copper Coin.
This example displays a very strong and even strike on a choice hard planchet. T
he surfaces are an attractive medium chocolate brown, smooth, and glossy. This coin is in XF condition with just a bit of micro-granularity evident only under close examination. The rims of this coin are nice & smooth with no problems.
This particular coin has a nearly full & bold 1787 date, it has not been cleaned, and it weights 147.1 grains.
This is an authentic & genuine 1787 Connecticut Colonial Copper that is in great condition & has very nice eye-appeal. Similar to the Perkin’s Coin (lot #355) and possibly a candidate for the lower end of the Condition Census of this more available variety, but still an excellent higher grade example.
