This lot is for a nice old Spanish Colonial Pirate
Era “” 2 BITS “” COB Coin with some nice details showing (LOT #4 / inv. code
#xa+).  Comes in a nice hard plastic Slab like holder ~ the holder alone costs
over a buck!.  2 ” BITS ” came from Dollar Coins that were cut up into ”bits”
as there was a lack of coins back then & this way you could buy goods for
under a buck without needing change.  They would typically cut a Dollar Coin
into 4 or sometimes 8 pieces making them bits of the Dollar.   SO 2 bits = a
quarter, 4 bits have a buck etc.  These types of coins were made in the late
1,400’s into the 1,600’s.  Coin has some details, more than most for a coin
that’s OVER 300 hundred years old!  Coin is about the size of a US Dime.  Not
sure of exact date but we do know these are from the 1400’s-1600’s.  Our lack of
knowledge could be your gain!   Coin has normal wear for age & condition. 
We think this is a decent looking coin for being this old but since this is
